  • mandarin oranges-2 can

Fruit Kaseri-A Classical Indian Dessert To have

Kesari is a classical Indian Dessert although it requires simple ingredients, but great care has to be taken to make it in right way to get authentic taste.
Ingredients
    Fruit Kaseri
  • bananas (sliced) - 1 cup
  • Grapes (seedless) - 1 cup
  • rawa - 2 cup
  • pineapple (sliced) - 1 cup
  • sugar - 2 cup
  • water - 6 cups
  • cardamom powder - 1 tsp
  • Ghee - 1 cup
  • pinch of yellow/orange powder
  • Cashews - 1/4 cup
Procedure
  1. First wash out the hands neatly.Then take a pan and heat the amount of ghee that you have taken .
  2. Now slowly roast the rawai with the medium heat for about 8 to 10 minutes.
  3. Heat the another tablespoon of ghee and in that roast the cashews to a light brown color .
  4. Then heat the fruits until they become soft using another tablespoon of ghee in the pan.
  5. Now add the required water and sugar and boil it in a sim mode for about10 minutes.
  6. Add the roasted rawa slowly and stir it until it becomes a nice halwa consistency .
  7. Add the food color and ghee and stir it nicely.
  8. Now add roasted cashews and cardamom powder with it.
  9. Also add saffron soaked in warm milk and pour the rest of the ghee on top and stir once.

Fruit jam-A Easy way to make in home

INGREDIENTS
  • Crushed strawberries -8 cups
  • MCP pectin powder-1pkt
  • sugar-10 cups
  • lemon juice-1/4 cup
  • butter
PROCEDURE
  1. Sterilize the jars by boiling them in water for atleast 10 minutes.
  2. Wash throughout the fruit nicely with water.
  3. Remove the peel of the fruit with the peeler
  4. Crush the fruit with the masher or wooden spoon nicely.
  5. Put all the fruits in a large saucepan.
  6. Turn on the stove and stir it.
  7. Pour the sugar, with the slight heat temperature and stir it until it dissolves completely.
  8. Use spoon to skim any foam or bubbles off on the top surface.
  9. Quickly ladle the jam into the prepared jars.
  10. Boil about an inch of water in the bottom of a medium saucepan and remove it from the heat.
  11. Screw a clean ring down over the seal and tighten it with snug hand pressure.
  12. Lower the jars onto a rack in a water-bath canner.
  13. Now cover the canner and make the water to a gentle boil stage.
  14. Now remove the jars from the boiling water.
  15. Allow the jars to cool for in the place free from drafts.
  16. Check out whether the jars have been sealed properly.

Fruit payasam-procedure to make in home

The following are the steps for how to make fruit payasam.

INGREDIENTS
  • Banana - 2 no
  • Carrot - 2 no
  • Mango - 2 no
  • Pineapple - 8-10 pieces
  • Jaggery - 4 kg
  • Sabudana - 2 bunch
  • Coconut milk - 2 cup
  • Elaichi powder - required amount
GARNISHING
PROCEDURE
  1. Cut all the fruits and vegetables into equal pieces.
  2. Blend all the fruits and vegetables like semi-piece for 1 minute in the mixer without adding water.
  3. Cook the sabudana and keep aside.
  4. Make a thick syrup using Jaggery pieces and keep aside too.
  5. Now heat the ghee and fry all long sliced coconut pieces, cashewnuts & raisins separately.
  6. Now add the blended fruits & vegetables and saute them for 10 minutes.
  7. Add the syrup on top now. Mix all till the ghee floats on the top.
  8. Add the 1 cup of thin coconut milk and mix well for 4 min till the payasam thickens.
  9. pour the thick coconut milk to it and mix it properly and remove it from the fire.
  10. dont make it boil after adding thick coconut milk.Then add elaichi powder, dry ginger powder to it.
  11. Atlast garnish with fried cashewnuts, raisins and coconut pieces.Then make it to cool
